Makeup Collection

I love watching these videos on YouTube, so I hope you guys will enjoy just seeing an overview of my makeup collection.  I do not have an absurd amount of makeup, but I do not by any means think I am in need of any more.  I pay for every single piece of makeup with my own money, my parents refuse to spend money on makeup and beauty products. Hope you enjoy. Leave requests in the comments and on Twitter @xogirlytomboyxo.

Info on where to purchase storage follows each picture!!

I Store all of my makeup in the first three drawers.  I took one drawer out so my nail polishes could fit height wise.  In the fifth drawer I keep hair accessories.  Sixth drawer is hair products. Seventh is skincare, eighth is misc. hair products and ninth is misc unused products. Further detail on each drawer follows.

This basket I got as a gift-sorry.  You can find ones at any dollar store, Target, Christmas Tree Shop...
In the back left I keep face brushes in a homemade container. Back right I keep my "It's a 10" which I grab every morning after I get out of the shower.  Around the blue bucket I keep lotions all of which are Bath and Body Works.  In the blue bucket I keep mini hand sanitizers from B&BW as well.  In front I have a plastic container from the dollar store with cotton balls, cotton rounds and q-tips for easy access.

First Drawer:

The pink drawer divider is from Target (dollar section). In this first drawer I keep all of my face products. On the left is all of my concealers, in the middle is blushes and setting powders. I also keep my beauty blender to keep everything from sliding. On the right is my foundations (I only use the Tarte one).  On the side I keep an old foundation for special occasions and some moisturizers as well as a ton of sponges and samples in the back.

Second Drawer:

This is my favorite drawer- all of my eye products! On the left side I keep all of my small eyeshadow duo/trio/quads etc.  In the left section of the Target Organizer I keep cream eyeshadows and MAC shadows.  In the middle is all my mascaras.  On the right is a ton of eyeliners and primers.  In back I keep unused eye products.

Third Drawer:

This is my lip drawer! In front I keep my lipsticks and lip butters.  Behind that on the left is eos balms and vaseline.  On the right is jumbo balm sticks (Tarte) and a ton of Stila Lip Glazes.  Behind those are some misc. glosses and tinted balms. Containers unknown.

Fourth/Fifth Drawers:

NAIL POLISH! This has no organization at all. I have most of my Essie polishes in the front row and OPI are on the right behind them. Everything else is totally random!

Sixth Drawer:

This is a jumbled mess as well. I just keep a ton of headbands and hair accessories in here that I do not reach for daily.

Seventh Drawer:

Most of my everyday hair products (Moroccan Oil, Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum) I keep in my bathroom, but these are the overflow and ones I use when styling. Just some hairsprays on the left and serums on right.

Eighth Drawer:

Again, this is a jumbled mess- SORRY! I have tried dozens of products, again most of which are under my bathroom sink, but these are mostly topical creams, serums, and washes that I only use if my skin is really good. I have a very strict skincare system proscribed by my dermatologist so I cannot use a lot of these.

Ninth  Drawer:

This literally has nothing in it, just everyday brushes, a mirror, and some boxes in the back.

Last Drawer:

What's in it? You guessed it, miscellaneous products I do not use everyday.  Mostly lotions for when it gets colder, and some unused eyeshadows and deodorants.

On My Desk:

The small container on the left I made myself. It holds bobby pins and clips.  The blue container in the middle is from a tag sale. It was an English Cookie container once and it holds most of my hair accessories and hair ties.  On the right is a book I write in everyday, and then in order from tall to short is my Naked Palette, Stila In The Light palette, and Naked Basics palette. I reach for these daily so I keep them at easy reach.

Hope You Enjoyed!

Nikki

My Everyday Makeup Routine

So I wanted you guys to get a sense of my absolute favorite makeup products that are my staples, so I figured I would show you my everyday favorite makeup products that are staples.

Face- On a daily basis, I do not use any face makeup to help my skin breathe.  But when I do, these are my holy grail products.

1.  Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-hour Primer SPF 30
This is an AMAZING foundation type product.  It is super lightweight but still gives me medium coverage (easily build able).  It is a primer, sunscreen, and foundation all in one, with the benefits of a BB Cream.  It is the ultimate lazy girl product as well- one stop shop.  It comes in fur colors, fair, light, medium, and tan, as it is very blend able.  I find it is a really natural finish, minimizing pores, and improving the overall look and feel of my skin.  I think the only downfall is you do need moisturizer underneath or it can get a little patchy and dry.
Purchase: Sephora stores, and online $34.00 for a 1 oz bottle.

Tarte - BB Tinted Treatment 12-Hour Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen
2. Covergirl TruBlend Minerals Loose Powder-
This just finishes off my face makeup with a matte but natural finish.  This powder is WONDERFUL, I do not know what else to say.  It keeps my makeup in place, keeps it looking impeccable.  It is easily accessable at the drugstores.
Purchase: Drugstores or online. $7-9 depending on location for a .63 oz container.
COVERGIRL TRUblend Minerals Loose Powder, TRANSLUCENT FAIR 405

3. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
This stuff makes my super oily eyelids stay creaseless all day, and keeps my eyeshadows looking perfect. It is the best one I have tried so far for the price.
Purchase: Sephora, online. $20.00 for .37 oz

4. Naked Basics Palette- For me, this is the perfect everyday high school palette.  There are 5 matte eyeshadows and 1 shimmery.  The formulation on these eyeshadows is impeccable! No fallout! I use W.O.S all over the lid, Naked 2 in the crease, Faint in the outer corners to deepen the look up, Foxy as a browbone highlight, and Venus as an inner corner highlight! I use all of the colors except Crave which is a matte black, just because it is a little harsh for school. These last all day and I find, do not crease until about 12-16 hours after I put them on!

Purchase: Sephora, and online. $28.00 for 6 .05 oz shadows! That is roughly $4.50 per shadow.

5. Tarte Skinny SmolderEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner in Golden Tiger's Eye-
This eyeliner is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! First, the color is this stunning unique purple/brown/golden color PERFECT for brown, green or hazel eyes.  But besides the color, the formula of this eyeliner is crazy! It is super creamy, enough where I put a thin line on my top lid and smudge it out for a softer smoky look.  If I put it on my water or tight line, it stays for about 8 hours without smudging on my super oily eyes! This is the only color I have tried but I am resisting the temptation to buy a brown and or black color. HIGHLYYYY RECOMMEND this if you need a new eyeliner! I can even WING this eyeliner out!

Purchase: Sephora, online. $19.00

6. Maybelline The Rocket Volume Express Mascara-
This is one of my all time favorite mascaras.  The formula is relatively wet, and the wand has short plastic bristles.  This mascara for me is very good at holding curl and lengthening.  In conjunction with this, I use the Revlon 3D Photoready Mascara.  This one gives a bit more volume and makes my lashes look fake! This combo is unbeatable!

Purchase: Both from drugstore.  Rocket: $6-8. Revlon 3D: $7-9

7. VanityMark Ultra Brow Powder in Blondie-
This is a wonderful brow powder for the price.  It does not need to be set with anything else for me.   As always though, I would get a shade lighter than you think you are.  I am a brunette and I got blondie and it is perfect for me! If you have blonde hair though, stick with the blondie because blondes out there want to go a little darker.

Purchase: http://brettfreedman.com/products_powders_blondie.php ($16.00) I bought mine at IMATS for $10!

8. MAC Lipstick in Lovelorn-
This is my favorite neutral pink lipstick, perfect for everyday.  It is a Lustre finish so it has a glossy finish to it, but no shimmer!    I love the formula and it lasts for about 4 hours on me before it starts to wear off.  If your lipstick is not lasting long, try blotting off the excess in the morning and put on a few layers, blotting after each application.

Purchase: MAC Stores, Macy's Counters, and online $15

OR

REIGN Cosmetics Lip Crayon in Nude Rose-
This balm crayon is super gorgeous under MAC's Lovelorn or by itself.  It is matte, and a pinky nude color.  It only needs a layer of chap stick underneath and it lasts 6+ hours.

Purchase: Online http://reign-beauty.com $15.00

THATS IT!
Phew That took a while! Hope you enjoyed!
xoxo,

Nikki
