So I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease almost two months ago, and it has made a world of difference becoming Gluten Free. I have had to change many of my favorite foods, and hunt for equal substitutions. Through this process I have found some WONDERFUL products to try regardless of whether or not you are Gluten Free.
1. NUTELLA!!
I eat this stuff straight out of the jar! Literally, I just take a big spoon, and shovel it out of the container and into my mouth. Nothing needed with it, by itself is like CRACK!!!! I also enjoy it as a dipping sauce for strawberries, or even as a spread on GF Glutino Crackers!
2. Mott's Medley Fruit Snacks-
These fruit snacks are all natural and super tasty. They are super chewy like the Scooby Doo Snacks we all know we ate as kids, but these taste even better and are a lot better for you. I throw them into my school bag and eat them during 10 minute break at my school. Please go try them, I promise you will NOT regret it. If you really like them like I do, they come in an 80 pack at Costco!!
3. Larabars-
For me, these bars are either a hit or miss, depending on the flavor you get. My personal favorites are the Larabar UBER bars. These are nuttier, and less like a block of goop, more nutty and wholesome. I especially love the Coconut Macaroon flavor.
4. Baked Cheetos-
OMG am I reliving my childhood with these or what?! Regular Cheetos have a lot of unhealthy fats which come from processing and added GMOs which are terrible for you-who wants genetically modified anything in them! Baked Cheetos from Trader Joes are a lot better for you, with no added GMO's and they taste exactly the same to me!
5. Popchips-
These chips are an amazing healthy alternative to Potato Chips. Do not get me wrong- potato chips are amazing and suprisingly not that bad for you. But I have severe stomach pains whenever I eat them because of the amount of oil in them-idk why but it happens. Popchips are a lot lower in fat, and they also have no GMOs or additives. They have a lot of amazing flavors. My personal favorites are Sour Cream and Onion, and Barbeque. They also have Salt and Pepper, Sea Salt and Vinegar, Original, and Jalepeno. The only downside to them is the bag is 3oz which says is 3 servings, but I eat a whole bag in one sitting. It sounds bad, but believe me, the bags are tiny when you see the amount of product actually inside.
