Update

I have not posted in over a week...again! This is not a good habit that I want to get into. I promise I am trying to manage my time and make time to blog, as I know consistency is very important! I have been very busy with school as many of you can relate to.  This upcoming week is going to be crazy, as teachers are cramming us with work before the Thanksgiving break, so please bear with me this week.  Starting after the break, I am going to try my absolute hardest to post 3 times a week, but hopefully a minimum of 2 times per week.  This blog is very important to me, and I want to keep you guys interested! Obviously school comes first, but I am setting this goal of 2-3 posts/week because I love blogging for you guys.  I got dumped with homework this weekend, but I am going to try and post an OOTW from last week, so hopefully you will see that tomorrow on Sunday.  PLEASE feel free to leave comments as to what you want to see, or LIKE some posts so I know which ones you guys like to see.
You can expect to see the following coming within the next two weeks:
 Holiday Decor Haul
DIY Holiday Crafts
Looking For Alaska Book Review
Favorite Fall/Winter Nail Polishes

My sincere apologies for my lack of consistency guys.
xoxo,
Nikki

HAUL!!!- Forever 21, Bath and Body Works, Target

Hey guys, so sorry I haven't posted in over a week! I've been crazy busy with school, but no excuses!
I went shopping the other night and I thought I would show you guys what I got! Stay tuned for Holiday Themed posts coming soon-leave requests below!

Forever 21:

1) Denim Cross Hatch Pattern Jacket- $9.50
I love this jacket! Its quite thin, but it is perfect for layering this fall and winter.

I got this jacket on clearance for 19.00 but then it was half off! So I ended up getting this jacket for around 9.50! Check out Forever21 before this jacket is gone!

2) Sheer Cream Floral Button Up- This shirt was on clearance as well for around ten dollars and its great for layering under sweaters or just on its own with jeans and boots!

 3) Big Comfy Taupe Sweater- This is going to be my go to sweater this winter season.  It is super warm and cozy, and is again perfect for layering! The color is a perfect taupe, camel, neutral color which will go with everything!

4) Black and White Striped Tote- Again I got this on clearance for eight dollars! It is the perfect size to hold most of my school things, so I am using it as my school bag because it is way more fashionable then my army green backpack! Let me know if you guys would like to see a "What's In my Schoolbag" post.

Bath and Body Works:

1) Spiced Wreath Candle- This is described as the spirit of the holidays is in the air with the fragrance of a cinnamon bark wreath featuring accents of creamy vanilla and rich, red apples. This is definitely a cozy, warm, holiday scent.  Like super "Christmasy", so when it starts to get closer to Christmas I will be burning this one non stop.

 2) Snowday Candle- This is described as a bright and joyful blend of spruce branches, peppermint and sweet vanilla that captures the fun adventures of a snow-filled day. To me it smells like an amazing blend of vanilla and mint. Like a cozy mint...if that makes sense.

 3) Wild Mint Hand Cream- This is an amazing moisturizer. My hands are already getting super dry and cracked unfortunately, but this is amazing! It is a lot thicker than their regular lotions and it smells amazing too!

 4) Hand Sanitizers- All of the ones I have are fruity and summery, so I decided to get some more festive and wintery scents. I got Nutcracker Sweet, Tis The Season, Iced Gingerbread, Winter Candy Apple, and Melting Marshmallow.

5) Warm Vanilla Sugar Body Wash- This scent is a classic fall and winter scent for me and it smells exactly as it sounds-warm vanilla and sugar.

 Target-
I just got a few skincare products that I am running out of.

1) Simple Soothing Facial Toner- around $6-7. This is very gentle and it just restores the balance in my skin after I wash it. This is a holy grail skincare product for me and if you have extremely sensitive skin and other toners burn your skin, I would HIGHLY recommend this.

 2) CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser- This is my holy grail face wash. I have been using this face wash for over 2 years now and I LOVE IT! It is so gentle yet effective, and it is recommended by my dermatologist for me to use it. It's quite pricey for the drugstore at $12.00.

3) Maroon Beanie- This was around $6 from Target and its so cute and perfect for this winter when its sooooo cold.

Hope you guys enjoyed. Follow me on twitter @xogirlytomboyxo

October Favorites! Beauty, Fashion and RANDOM!!!

So it's officially November, less than two months 'til Christmas!!! Where has this year gone?? October was a great month for me, it finally started to get colder and cozier, my favorite weather. I wanted to share with you some things that I have been loving in these colder months.

Beauty-

1. Clean and Clear Morning Burst Hydrating Gel Moisturizer-
This is honestly the BEST moisturizer I have ever used. I bought the dual action moisturizer from Clean and Clear and that made my face super red and it hurt! But luckily, it came with a sample of this one and I love it so much I am going to go out and buy the full size ASAP. It is extremely hydrating and gentle on my sensitive skin, and it does not make my face red at all! As you can tell, it is a gel consistency which I love, it feels amazing on the skin. I HIGHLY recommend this moisturizer!

2. Maybelline Master Precise Liner in Black-
This eyeliner is one of the best I have ever tried. It has a super skinny felt tip and the product itself is extremely dark and long-lasting. I do not find that it smudges on my oily lids at all! Plus, it's under ten dollars from the drugstore!

3. Maybelline The Rocket Volume Express Mascara in Blackest Black-
This is an amazing mascara for length and definition. Ironically, it does not give my loads of volume, but it is extremely good at separating and lengthening.  I get complimented on my mascara when I use this, which I think is a good sign. It does not smudge on me at all, and it is relatively easy to get off without tugging at my eyelashes. The wand has short plastic bristles which are comparable to Benefit's They're Real!

4. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Plum Velour ( Number 850).
This is my absolute favorite deep fall lip color I have found so far. It is a deep wine/berry color which is super flattering on the lips and makes the teeth look extremely white. This can easily be a sheer wash with just one coat, but can also be built up to an opaque, dramatic lip color. What I love most is it is very hydrating because it has a slightly glossy finish, which is a little less harsh.  If you are scared to venture into the deep fall colors, I think this is a great option.

Sheer:

Opaque:

5. Essie Nail Polish in Armed and Ready-
This color was from a fall collection last year, but you can easily find it in sale bins at beauty supply stores and hair salons. This is an absolutely stunning fall color.  It is a gray/brown in the bottle, but it has this beautiful reflex of gold in it, so it is gorgeous on the nails. My friend Brianna, or breelisabeth.blogspot.com and I both bought this because it was so pretty. It is coming off green in the pictures but it is not at all, it is a true gray.

Fashion-

1. Light Wash Denim Button Up-
I got mine from Forever 21, but these lightweight denim shirts are my number one essential for fall. It is a great layering piece, I love to throw it over dresses with riding boots, or with patterned leggings and a plain shirt. These shirts are so versatile and instantly and style and class to a boring or plain outfit.

2. Combat Boots-
These boots are my life.  If you read my outfit of the day posts, you know that I wear these nearly every day.  These are just short, brown distressed combat boots from Payless. I really lust over the Troopas from Steve Madden, but they are so expensive, compared to these from Payless which look nearly identical.  I do not think you need to splurge on these, because they are exactly the same as the hundred dollar ones. These go with almost every outfit, jeans, dresses...anything.

RANDOMMM-

1. Sweater Weather Candle in Leaves (Bath and Body Works)-
I have only had this candle for a few days but it is already a favorite.  This is the stereotypical fall candle, but I finally see why.  It is a very safe fall scent, just like my grandma's house in the fall, warm, cozy and slightly apple-spicey.  I cannot describe scents, but I think you all should go smell this candle if you haven't already.  It is double amazing because it came in this adorable sweater holder.  If you do not like super sweet scents that Bath and Body Works has a lot of, I think you will like this one, it is very warm and comforting.

2. Looking for Alaska by John Green-
This book...I can't even. It is sooooo amazing. I read The Fault In Our Stars over the summer and ABSOLUTELY FELL IN LOVE with John Green's writing style.  I do not know what it is, but this man is a writing god! His books are so addicting, and I cannot put them down.  I do not want to give anything away, but Looking for Alaska is about a boy named Miles and his friends, and his transformation to a good boy into a daredevil with the help of his love interest Alaska, the ultimate daredevil.  The story is a perfect blend of love, sadness, and action all in the same book.  SO GOOD!! I highly recommend you read any of John Green's books, and LEAVE COMMENTS OF OTHER BOOKS YOU THINK I SHOULD READ.

Music-

1. Bastille-
If you have not checked out the band Bastille, you need to exit off of this blog post and find them.  They are absolutely amazing and perhaps my favorite band of all time.  I do not know what genre they are classified as, but they are a perfect blend of Alternative, Pop and Rock.  I cannot explain it, you just need to go listen. My favorite songs from their album are:

Pompeii
Laura Palmer
Laughter Lines
Icarus
Flaws
Ugh they're all sooooo good!!!!

2. Ceej's EP Across My Heart-
Ceej is a YouTuber who just came out with her first EP. She and Tori Kelly are my all time favorite YouTube singers.  Her music is so genuine and uplifting--her music makes me feel so good. It is very pop/singer songwriter.  Check her out on Youtube as well because she has some crazy covers!

I hope you guys enjoyed this favorites.
xoxo,
Nikki
